In January 2001, the South Jersey community received the music ministry of Gospel Duo Duncan & Rachelle in their hearts and in their homes when they released their first CD project entitled, Introducing Gospel Duo Duncan and Rachelle. Since then, the Gospel Duo has taken their music ministry to higher heights with the release of their second CD project, entitled Through the Storm in 2005. Their third CD project, God's Time was released in 2009, and in April 2015, they released their CD project, The TakeOver: The Best of Gospel Duo Duncan and Rachelle which features the singles “I’m Ready” & “Rescue Me”. Their latest album, After The Rain, was released in September 2022.

Both Duncan & Rachelle have been singing since their youth. Atlantic City native Reverend Duncan P. Lane, Associate Minister of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, began singing at the age of seven. Before joining forces with his wife Rachelle, Duncan was a part of many community gospel groups and choirs. Minister Rachelle Moore-Lane, Associate Minister and Minister of Music of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, began singing at the age of five. She has sung with various community choirs and is the founder of The United Gospel Singers of Pleasantville. This husband and wife team joined their talented forces in April of 1988. Since then, they have been spreading the gospel in song throughout the United States.

They, along with U.G.S., have given back to the community by supporting church programs and singing with community choirs, giving free Christmas concerts at local nursing homes and rescue missions, and adopting families for Christmas.

Duncan and Rachelle believe that the key to their success is their total commitment to God in all that they set out to accomplish. They plan to take their mission of reaching the lost and encouraging the Saved by lifting up the Name of Jesus Christ to wherever The Lord leads them.

The United Gospel Singers (U.G.S.) began as an all-female gospel singing group in the late 1980s founded by Min. Rachelle Moore-Lane. The ministry's work involved ministering on programs, singing on charitable events & visiting nursing homes, supporting the rescue mission, sponsoring food & toy drives.

In 1991, U.G.S. joined forces with The New Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Mays Landing, N.J. and expanded their charity work in the Atlantic & Cumberland Counties. In 2001, when Rev. Duncan & Minister Rachelle launched their professional singing careers, U.G.S. began singing background for the Gospel Duo.

Under the musical direction Min. Rachelle and the Late Elder Timothy L. Bragg, the group and Gospel Duo combined their God given talents to create an awesome blend of harmony and have released four outstanding CD projects.
